I spent good weeks developing this tool to make it as simple as possible for the end user.ĭownload GUI Version to Windows (KF2ServerTool): The app includes some extra features too, like a server launcher, web admin configuration, workshop download manager configuration, access to webadmin inside the application, and some tools to clean the cache and workshop files. For update an outdated workshop item just right click on the item and choose update. The application will do everything for you (download the map, add the server subscription, add the map entry, add the map to the cycle of maps and add the server redirect if needed). You will just browse the workshop inside the app or paste a URL of an workshop item and click on a button. All this without wasting time editing lines of config files. You can easily install or update maps and mods from workshop or a custom redirect, perform server maintenance (updates and verify server integrity), start the server with custom mutators and also have diferent profiles with different settings. With this tool you can easily install and configure your Killing Floor 2 dedicated server. Meanwhile, a solo player is more used to kiting and waiting for the right moment to shoot.KF2ServerTool for Windows and KF2ServerToolCMD for Windows and LinuxĮasy way to add/remove/update maps in your Killing Floor 2 Dedicated Server What is this? This strategy favors those who can shoot accurately and quickly so the lane isn't overwhelmed. ![]() But since you don't have to turn around to manage the other lanes, you can focus all your firepower down that area. ![]() You end up having a higher density of zeds on your screen compared to solo. Players watch their respective lanes and cover for each other if needed. However, in multiplayer, camping is very common. In later waves, this makes it impossible (or very difficult) to camp an area as a non-berserker. As you clear one lane, zeds approach from another. The maps in KF2 are designed so that zeds come from at least 2 directions wherever you are. One other aspect is that you don't really learn how to camp. ![]() Head health is multiplied by approximately 2.5x when there's 6 players so keep that in mind before trying to kill one solo. Solo is designed so even a medic shoot down FPs without spending all their ammo. If you just spray fire everywhere the FP/SC aren't the only ones going to enrage, your sharp will probably aggro you too.Īs other's have mentioned, you won't learn how to take down the big zeds in multiplayer. In regards to firebug you have to demonstrate control while playing online because they fuck with big zed takedowns if they get their toes all crispied with their hands waving in the air walking in random directions. Big zeds are not even remotely a problem since they hit like wet paper. For example if you were grinding in normal endless for hours you're not going to learn very well for standard survival games on higher difficulties. It also depends on what difficulty you're doing. I feel like medic in particular is the big team-oriented one, I always feel awkward playing them alone even with a proper skill loadout for combat just because they're tanky and that's their one talent (EDIT: in solo). The only aspects you would be missing are multiplayer-oriented stuff such as healing teammates, sharing dosh, buffed zed stats (unless you're using fakeplayers) and class role disciplines (how to work together in a team).
